What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is a tax-deductible way for parents to support our school and help bridge the $1,500 gap between tuition and the true cost of a St. Vincent's education. We currently receive a generous parish subsidy of $800 per student to help close the gap and we ask parents and community members to help with the remainder. It is vital to note that tuition is not tax deductible; but each Annual Fund donation, regardless of the amount, is.
What does the Annual Fund support?
The Annual Fund benefits every aspect of the School's operation. Every dollar supports our core needs of teachers' salaries and benefits, facilities, ancillary programs, classroom instructional materials and administrative expenses.
Why doesn't SVdP simply charge the full cost of tuition rather than asking for gifts?
SVdP has always valued its historic identity as an affordable parish school. We strive to keep our tuition as low as possible and are committed to maintaining our multi-student discount.
How much should I give?
There is no specific amount expected from each family. We hope those who can give more will participate with a larger gift to support those families who cannot give as much.
We strive for 100% participation from all families with a gift of any amount. Why? Because a high participation rate helps when requesting foundation grants.
