St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School Band, under the musical direction of  Mr. Will Fortune, is one of the premier performing ensembles within the Houston Private School District. The band has a long-standing tradition of musical excellence and achievements. Members of the SVdP Band enjoy a sense of self-worth and personal satisfaction that occurs as a result of being an integral part of our organization. The mission of the SVdP Band is to provide unique, meaningful and musical experiences for students both in concert performances as well as marching in athletic events, parades, and competitions.
 
Band class is designed to teach students how to play their chosen instrument and to give them the music-reading skills they will need to be successful, independent musicians in future grades. The Band performs at the Christmas Show and the Spring Musical. Band is open for fourth through eighth-grade students.
