Seventy-five years ago, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School was opened with four temporary army barracks, four teaching Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, and 165 students. Opening a school was a top priority of the young parish and many came together to make this grand plan a reality.
As we celebrate the school’s 75th anniversary, our parish is pursuing another grand plan – construction of a new 17-classroom Catholic Education Building to replace our seventy year old Intermediate building. It will be designed with flexible learning space as our buildings are used six-days a week by 550 CCE students and 500 day school students.
In addition to classrooms, we will have fresh new locker rooms, science labs, teacher workrooms, dedicated tutoring and counseling spaces, an outdoor second-floor patio for the science lab, and an updated design to ensure the building is not susceptible to future flooding.
Our 75-year tradition of building faith, knowledge and spirit has shaped generations of children and taught them to love learning and love the Lord. Today, we have the opportunity to continue the tradition and create a safe and nurturing spiritual home for the children of our parish. With your help and the help of the Holy Spirit we will make this dream a reality.
TOGETHER, WE WILL SAIL PAST OUR GOALS...
